Publication Ethics

Chemical Science Review and Letters is committed to high standards of publication ethics and follows the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Detailed duties of editors, reviewers and authors are given in our Ethical Guidelines.

Authors

  • Submit only original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
  • List as authors only those who made a significant contribution, and agree the author list before submission.
  • Cite all sources properly. Plagiarism, data fabrication and data falsification are not tolerated.
  • Obtain ethical approval for studies involving humans or animals and state it in the manuscript.
  • Disclose funding and any conflict of interest.
  • Follow the AI Use Policy.

Plagiarism

Every submission is checked for similarity. Suspected plagiarism is examined by the journal’s Plagiarism Investigation Committee. If plagiarism is confirmed, the manuscript is rejected or the published article is retracted, the authors may be banned from submitting to the journal, and the publisher may inform the authors’ institution.

Handling misconduct

Suspected misconduct, whether raised before or after publication, is investigated following COPE guidance, and authors are given the opportunity to respond.

Corrections and retractions

Errors in published articles are corrected through a published correction notice. Articles found to involve plagiarism, an undisclosed conflict of interest, significant AI-generated content or other misconduct are retracted with a retraction notice that remains linked to the original article.

Complaints

Complaints about the journal or its processes can be sent to admin@chesci.com and will be acknowledged and addressed.
