Chemical Science Review and Letters is an open access journal. Readers pay nothing to read or download articles. To cover the costs of peer review management, editing, DOI assignment and online hosting, the journal charges an article processing charge (APC) only after a manuscript is accepted. There is no submission fee.
Current charges
- 15th Anniversary Offer: a flat fee of Rs. 2,000 per article, irrespective of the number of pages, for manuscripts submitted on or before 30 November 2026.
- Regular fee (from 1 December 2026): Rs. 350 per page for the first 10 pages, and Rs. 150 per page from page 11.
- International authors: US$30.
There are no other charges such as publication, colour or subscription fees. Payment details are given on the Submit Articles page.
Waivers and discounts
Authors who cannot pay the APC may request a full or partial waiver by writing to admin@chesci.com at the time of submission, explaining the reason. Requests are considered case by case. Waiver decisions are made independently of the peer review process, and the ability to pay never influences the editorial decision.
Refunds
The APC is non-refundable and non-transferable: it cannot be refunded once paid, or transferred to another author or manuscript.
